Please join the SJA Parent Guild for our general Parents Meeting on Tuesday, November 17th from 5:30pm - 6:30pm in the school auditorium.

Free childcare will be provided.

Financial Update, Fundraising Goals, Purchases, Parent Feedback, Upcoming Events, School Updates, Open Floor.

The Holidays Are Coming!

Parents and Teachers,

It's already November and the holiday season is quickly upon us!

With that being said, we are bringing back by popular demand the Cookie Dough Fundraiser, in time for your holiday baking needs and other tasty treats that family and friends can enjoy for themselves or as gifts to others.

Along with this we are also offering Gift Card purchases from over 150 retailers for restaurants, clothing, groceries, gas, and so much more!  

Our Holiday Campaign packages with more details will be sent home on Monday, November 9th and will kick off our 2 week fundraising period.  See attached flyer!

How Much We Raised From Movie Night

We are pleased to share that you have helped us raise $1000 from our Movie Night held last week!

Our teachers have expressed the need for 2 LCD projectors so the proceeds will go towards these, one for PYP students and one for MYP students.

It's been a great start with our first event this year and we look forward to continue to grow our teacher / parent community and fundraising efforts!

If you were at our Movie Night, we hope you had a great time!  It was a fantastic turnout with over 100 attending.

The start was quite busy with lots of excitement!  

We certainly couldn't do it alone.  

Thanks to the teachers & staff for their support, to our parent volunteers who helped throughout the night, and our awesome student volunteers!  You made a big difference and we appreciate you.  

Thank you to all of the families and friends for coming out and supporting us.

As you will see in the pictures below, Shaun the Sheep movie watchers were continuing the fun after the movie ended and were dancing the night away!

The Parent Guild and our group of parent volunteers!  From left to right we have: Kevin, Denise, Hong, Lisa, Taya, Angela, Jessica, Victoria, Johny, running the main area.  Supervising in our movie rooms were Rosa, Casa, Shimaa, and Stacey.  Mr. Foster, Rylan and Doug were a huge help with the movie rooms setup.

Are You Ready For Movie Night?

October 23rd will be our first Movie Night Fundraiser and we are very excited that you'll be a part of this!

We have over 100 kids, parents, and friends attending and pleased that you are supporting the event.

Here is some info you'll need:

Everyone is welcome to wear pyjamas and bring blankets, pillows, sleeping bags etc!

When you arrive at the school, our awesome student volunteers will guide you to our Movie Night entrance on the side near the regular pickup/drop-off door.

For those who are dropping off their kids for the evening, childcare begins at

6 pm.

   - If you have children in after care and they will be with us for the evening, we will bring them to our Movie Night area.  

   - Please make sure they have everything they need for the evening including their tickets (and pjs!).  

Our event starts 6:30 pm.

For families and friends attending, please arrive by 6:30 to get your snack combo packs (and pizzas if ordered).  You will have some time to enjoy pizza and catch up with friends before we start the movies.

Shaun the Sheep movie will end by 8:30 pm.

Tomorrowland movie will end by 9 pm.

We're looking forward to seeing you there and having a great time together!

PS.  If you didn't buy a movie package and would like to join us, you can still attend for $5 entrance.  There will be some popcorn, pizza, and bottled water for sale.  See you then!

FINAL Call for Movie Night!

We’ve received an overwhelming response from parents who didn’t purchase movie night tickets by the Friday, October 16^th deadline.  

This will be an awesome event and we don’t want any students to be left out.   As such we will accept order forms and payment tomorrow morning (Wednesday, October 21) by no later than 9am! 

Please adhere to this timeline as we are working hard to pull all logistics together for this event.
